I have a 1988 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4 with a smoked electrical system. among other components, I am trying to rule out the CDI unit, but I cannot find any test procedures other than swapping it out with a known good unit, which I do not have and don't plan on buying one except as a last resort. Help with bench testing the regulator /rectifier would be helpful also. Thanks for any input.
