I put a 48 pilot in today and got the air/fuel screw adjusted n sync w/ the bigger jet and its as crisp as can be off idle. Even when it was on the stand, I was surprised. I have an adjustable needle I'm gonna put in next chance I get, (7 positions, NVTS or something like that) and that should round off my jetting!!
I still have a bog/hesitaion around 1/8 throttle...

I believe most people start messing with A.P. before getting jetting(pilot ,main, and clip)fully sorted. Glad you got it worked out!

Yea thanks. Im surprised it needed a 48p, but it did and now its super crisp!! Cant wait to ride it sat. Ive got my air/fuel screw 2 turns out. If I turn it a quater turn one way or the other it stalls out. The jetting seems to be right on the edge, but perfect. It does have a little hangin idle, just a hair when its on the stand. Thats the leak jet right? A 50leak will take care of that? What excatly is the leak jets function?

Before you change the leak jet, try backing off the fuel screw another 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Idle the bike up a little to keep it running.

Cool thanks, I'll try that! Why does alot of people recommend a 50 leak for the 250x. What comes tock, do you know?

Leak controls the percentage of fuel that returns to the bowl. The smaller the number the larger the percentage. Stock is 55. That
means 45% of the fuel returns to the bowl. If you can find a 50 for that carb it will return 5% more.

I forgot to tell you:A hanging idle is useually a lean condition. Check for intake leaks between carb and cylinder.

Probaby when I put my carb/air boot back together. It was such a pain and I couldn't really see the back of it. It appeared to be sealed but I'll check that. Thanks.
