Just baught a new house with an acre. Girlfriend gave me the ok to use about a third of the acre to make a small track and obstacle course.

Want to get a used trials bike to play around on. Dont want to offend the new neighbors with sound. Cant spend too much on this. Could I get a gasgas or sherco for around 2500. Any other brands to consider. GG dealership within 60 miles of me. Expensive honda montessa dealership closer.

What years and models should I be looking at? Where do i find a good bike in my budget? Dont see too many on craigslist. Thanks for your time. Steve

$2500 is on the low side, but I got my older montesa for $1800 and it is a great loaner bike. Keep your eyes peeled and be ready to move if you see something available for that range. Get to know local club members and let folks know your looking. Bikes can be shipped around the states for $200, but dealers are better at having ship crates around. Brands are similar and personal preference, both Sherco and GasGas are easy to get parts for. Look carefully at signs of rust (swingarm linkage, brake calipers, etc.) from poor storage- that stuff can eat up money and time to replace. They are out there, Good Luck!

Or keep am eye out for a 97-98 Beta Techno. From what I'm told they are indestructable. Also easy to get parts for. I just picked one up for under a grand!

Your girlfriend is gonna let you?

I'm selling my 2003 sherco 2.9. It's in excellent shape with low hours. I'm asking $2200 for it. I'm in Los Angeles Ca.
