Did you use the 69 series Daystar fork boots and did you have to make mounting brackets for your number plate.

Hey Old Dude, I used these Daystar boots: part number MX00503BK, medium travel. I just went to their site and looked for XR250 boots.
As for the stock number plate, I had to zip-tie it in place through the bottom two holes. It was pretty half-assed so I just found a '97 XR250 number plate on eBay and threw an HID kit in it with a TrailTech switch. I highly recommend that setup!

So use the XR400 kickstand same year as my bike? (2007)
Also can not get Hlebo to answer his phone. So just ship him the shock with instructions or what?
Thanks,
Tom

Then they came out with the supermoto set up in 2007.
So back to the same question. Use a 2004 XR400 kickstand and spring?

With the X kickstand, the 230 stands up fairly straight, but not enough to tip over unless you're on uneven ground. I ground a little bit off the mounting bracket on the 230 frame so the kickstand tucks up against the bike nicely and doesn't interfere with the swingarm.
I'll try and get a couple photos for you tonight.

And what is the C-C length of the stock shock?
Posted 26 September 2012 - 09:32 AM
250X / 450x - $60 used, and $95-$140 for new aftermarket (MSR / Trail Tech /ProMoto Billet).
I don't know the ground clearance of any of the older bikes - are XR250 / 500 / 600 / 650 kickstands similar length as the 400?? My wife's 230 is done but I'll need a longer kickstand when I start my own 230 project.

and spring.
$47.23 delivered UPS to my front door.
$8.00 bucks was shipping but what the heck no headaches and it's on the way.

I right click the picture, then highlighted the properties and pasted properties using the image box option.
Well ah! done.

I tried almost the same thing - click on the Image button. It gives me a box to past the URL into - I didn't right-clicked the image in PhotoBucket and copy the properties - I hovered over it which gave me 4 options of code to copy. I copied/pasted the IMG code from the drop-down - which has worked on every forum I've ever been on - but that only gave me a box with red X. I then pasted the direct URL from PhotoBucket, and again a box with red X.
I then tried using the Code button and pasting the PhotoBucket code directly into the reply box, with the same results. After trying different methods for half an hour last night I just gave up.
I'll try again using your method when I get home.
Sorry to derail this thread with this unnecessary BS.

Here was my simple solution to the kickstand problem. Cut it in the middle, install steel rod in middle that fit perfectly ( piece of chevy tire iron) make it the length I want, then weld her up. Cost was $0.00
