Hi There,

I know a guy here in North Italy using a RMX 450 for enduro and dual sport rides.
He put 8000 kms on the clock with no engine problems.
He just changes oil every 1000 kms and clean the air filter.
He changed wheel bearings and that's it.

I reckon 2000 kms are nothing!

If this is anything like the RMZ motor, I wouldn't worry about that check bolt in the side of the clutch cover. Checking it there doesn't give a true reading. Just leave that plugged and keep track of your mileage/hours on the bike. Also make sure that when you drain the oil, you drain it from all of the draing holes. That means the drain on the bottom, plus the drain bolt and the metal cap and filter forward of the shifter and below the flywheel, plus the replaceable paper filter on the throttle side of the bike and the breather bolt to the left and above the paper filter. If you don't do all of these, you never get all the old oil out. On refill, measure the exact amount the manual says to add, and don't exceed that, otherwise it will just blow out the case breather.
