I have a 1999 yamaha bear-tracker that i bought about a mounth ago. Today i go to start it and have no spark at the plug. The battery is new and the engine turns over and i replaced the plug. It has started great and ran like new untill today.

What is the best way to check things such as the stator, cdi, stuff like that without having to take it to a shop?

Thanks in advance..........

Hi Tex, The shop manual will usually have a good step-by-step troubleshooting procedure in the electrical chapter for situations like yours. Can you get one easily? It will save you money on this repair versus a shop bill. -Mike-
