Is there a proper way to crash?

My philosophy is dont come up short. LOL JK. I typically overshoot. If you are casing a jump I dont know that there is much you can do aside from maybe bail if there is time. If I crash and am flying off the bike I tend to go into the fetal position. I learned a long time ago not to put an arm or leg out. Tuck and roll seems to work well in most cases if you even have time to react. Collar bones arent a big deal and I personally dont know any riders that havent broken one at least once. Ive done it 3 times and was back on the bike within 3- 4 weeks and I am almost in my 40's. Just my .02
