This is rebellion, a thing this nation was FOUNDED on, acting out against the dehumanizing suffocation of living in our major cities, a thing Thomas Jefferson wrote against a long, long time ago.
Is it lawless? yeah. Some but, I didn't see any robbing or pillaging or physical violence. Oh, so the bikes MUST be stolen! Drug money! I'm sure there is at least some of that but, we also saw trailers meaning people must have stolen them and the trucks to pull them too, right???
Any of you grow up in a ghetto? Any of you imagine what it's like to be young and having grown up around nothing but poverty and the grinding day to day bleakness of a Baltimore or a Philly? There're no dads to show a boy right from wrong. There's no dads because social policy long ago made it financially better for a mom to not have one. For young dads, what do they do? Construction? Learn a trade? Not any more, not since our immigration policy simply allowed the flood gates to remain open and inundate the nation with cheap labor.
And drug money? What of it? Our drug policy has made the penalties so severe over what someone may choose to ingest that there are fortunes to be make. You gonna work at McDonalds for $8-10 an hour? Or, maybe give in to the opportunity to make a couple of grand a week?
These people are just kids. They happened to have been born and raised in and around shitholes, places where they start kindergarten behind and fall further and further behind every year until they just say '**** it'.
Sure, some get out and that's good but, hell, then our pop culture attacks them for not being 'real' or for being 'sell outs' or 'Uncle Tom's'. The music is bleak and droning and it matches the day to day life of being poor in the big city, especially the East coast. We don't even have the West coast weather.
I am not an anarchist. Far from it. Law and order is the backbone of a society, the world most of us grew up in, that offers great opportunities for anyone willing to work hard, be smart and have some self control. But respect for law and order can only come from laws that promote respect for them and that is based on fairness and reason and not hypocrisy and privilege. That said, I don't care where you are from, life is TOUGH right now. Lot of people I know, good people, tradesmen, losing homes, losing business's. College for our kids is insane cost wise. And what are they gonna do when they get out?
That said, if it was you or me in Philly or B'more, how many of us would have long ago given up and had one hell of a day riding, free and fun, at least for awhile?
What we are seeing is the results of our social and economic policies. What we are seeing is the inevitable result, fighting back, against a messed up society. I'm not religious but, there is wisdom in saying 'there but for the grace of God go I'.
They're riding, people. They're riding.
Enough with the soap box and I wish every one a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I live in a rural, backwoods part of Arkansas. After having to actually out run Arkansas State Troopers (4) times, I have had to quit riding gravel roads. It doesn't help things that I am the only person near here with a KTM, I can't even hardly bring that bike out in public anymore for fear of being prosecuted for felony fleeing! We have some good trails around a lake, all gravel, all accessible from my gate, county roads and I can't ride on them! ($175.00 fine) Our National forests have awesome back roading opps, ALL illegal to bikes w/o license plates. ($200.00 fine)
So anytime I see a video of a bunch of "jack wagons" doing whatever the hell they want on public streets... well it pisses me off! I don't know that you can blame anybodies "socio-economic" misfortunes on just being stupid. That is like saying, "Oh you poor inter-city kids with low education and no jobs, go out and learn to wheelie quads and dirtbikes and play in the streets! It's all good, taxpayers will pay your med bills, you don't have insurance so you won't have to pay for someones vehicle you just smashed into. Heck if anybody says anything to you we will just call Al Sharpton and make it into some kind of race issue!"
Well, whew! I'm done, going riding on "private" land with safety gear, and rip the shit out of some badass single track, and prolly vent out the rest of my rant! Sorry sooo windy and opinionated! :ride: If you want to further the conversation, p.m. me and we can do it there. Thanks!

I disagree in a way with everyone on here. I dont support this and they are total idiots for not wearing helmets and running red lights, but go out to any redneck town, ateast the ones i have been to, and everyone is just riding their atvs around like nothing. No one cares about that. Its accepted.
I think the fact these guys are into bikes and quads is awsome, especially being from the hood. They do what we wanna do, ride, just on a different level. It sucks they cant take it to the track but i really dont think this is the worst thing in the world. I wish i had 30 friends to go ride with like these guys. Like i said, im not supporitng it, but i think it is sweet that the only reason these guys are on a bike or quad is cuase their one friend got one, then the next got one which made their friend get one, and they clearly spend a lot of time riding to be able to do wheelies like that.

Have you ever tried to wheelie a dirt bike with knobbie tires on pavement...it truly is not that hard. I have done it many times. Now if they were on dirt roads or on street bikes then I could say they have some talent. These guys are nothing but idiots doing dumb things on city streets, breaking laws, and endangering themselves as well as others.

I can't really post my honest opinion here without being kicked off this forum or labeled as "racist", since that's the main fad now, but I'll just say I must agree with this post above. I don't give a shit about a well written novel of an excuse about growing up in the ghetto. Tell that to your dead daughter when she's out driving and LIL B wheelies into her freaking face.
Oh, also...Not impressed what so ever. Let's see any one of these goons do this on a track, or hell, a dirt road!!!
I don't want to keep hearing about this in the coming years. They better nip this shit in the bud real quick. :foul:

BTW, I grew up poor in the inner city. Yes, I rode on the streets illegally at times when I was 15-16yo or younger. However, I didn't ride on any main roads/highways and do stupid stunts where I could possibly hurt someone else. So, don't give me the BS "poor and oppressed" speech. If I can make it out then anyone can. You just have to make the choice, grow up and be a responsible citizen or continue to be part of the thug life.
