Yea I know there is an entire post dedicated to this topic, but.... Here are some photos.

Remember the engine case adds strength to the frame on these bikes. You don't want the rear motor mount to be sloppy, everything should fit to enable the swingarm bolt to be properly torqued with free movement of the swingarm.

Schematic of measurements from my bike. Verify correct measurements with yours.

Lower Shock
http://i1211.photobu...rShockMount.jpg

The Frame at the top shock mount measures 1.000", the top shock sleeve of the KX measures .875" so you need to space each side with washers a total of .125"

At the lower shock pivot, use the cushion arm for the DRZ and the links from the KX. Be sure to shim the lower shock mount, if you do not....when you tighten the lower shock bolt you will bend and possibly crack the lower shock. It is aluminum, it will crack. You may also need to shim the cushion arm links, you will find the bolt through the swingarm is too short, you can see the original in the photo before I changed it. Order 62621-08G00 which is the same bolt that goes through the center pivot of the cushion arm. It will be just the right length. Again, be sure to shim any small gaps, tightening the bolts to close small gaps may be tempting but can result in binding on the bearings. I have a cardboard template for the master cylinder bracket, PM me with your address and I will mail it to you. I can't figure a way to post it so you can reproduce it to the proper scale.
