That reminds me. I eBayed a head to send him. I leave for Utah on the 22nd. Hopefully I can get the head back before I go. I can take the other bike if I don't. But I like to bring both so anyone who breaks can have a spare.
The Shaggerosa is on the Horizon.

I have my 92 295 head sitting on my shelf still. I wont be putting it on till after I get back from the dunes and taring down my bikes to clean that nasty sand out of everywere.

I'll send mine off and call you if I have any trouble. Will I need to send him crushed solders or does he have a standard profile?
I won't be back from Utah until April first.

One a side not ive rode just about every bike besides my race bike this year and nothing was a smooth and easy to ride as my 295. I could ride crazy fast laps and not get tired or pumped up. I wouldnt even trade the power for a 500. Wr gears, rekluse set high hard with tugnstons, and the 295 is just awsome on the ice.
Eric has the new head gaskets in stock now he sent me 3 the other day with my rehoned jug. He has also updated the pistons too. There now coated and have more oiling holes.

So I decided I liked the way four-strokes worked, but maybe I needed to slow down a little bit. So I got a 2003 YZ250F, the 125-equivalent, so they said. That bike has been magic, I've bought a 2006 and a 2009 since then. It suits me fine, I'm not that great of a rider, and those bikes are just so easy to ride. After getting them set up for me, I thought I'd found bike heaven. For me it was four-strokes, and I was never going back, ever.
After riding S14's YZ250... errr... 295? I think that I finally get it; for some reason they didn't make the stock two-strokes work in a way that would have worked way better for me. The ones I've ridden rev and make snappy power. S14's bike, with the porting and whatever other magic is in there, is just like a four-stroke, but without the moving parts. I've never felt a two-stroke wheelie so smoothly; you can be leaned way over in a corner, then roll on the gas a little "too aggressively" as you pick the bike up, and it just smoothly picks up the front wheel, and hangs it right there in front of you until you let off the gas for the quickly approaching next corner.
Your bike has a very good "wrist to what's happening" feeling! It made me feel like I was on a MotoGP bike, that's a fantastic machine you've developed there. My hat's off to you, I've never felt a bike like that. You should take that to Yamaha and say "Want to mess the whole world up again? Use this."

So Mick, this is pretty much it, isn't it? I gotta think this rain/snow heavy mess will be the end of it.

The driveway was nasty. There was no way I was going to be able plow the track today. So this weekend is probably toast. Next week we're supposed to get a 50. I might be able to fix it then. But the time draws near. I have about two weeks. Then I enter travel season which this time culminates with a move to the Netherlands. Most people would consider that a fairly busy time.

...and with the warmth, this sloppy rain/snow mix is going to put a lot of weight on the ice, probably pushing more water up... this could be it!
I'm still working to get the XR back "ridable" again, but I have to do that either way; this might be just getting her ready for next year.
I've already started working on the 250F... it's March 1st! Spring is almost here!
