426 Top End

How often should I put a piston kit in my 00 426? It's just raced locally in MX and I was thinking it might be time for one this winter since it will have 2 seasons of racing on it. It runs fine and doesn't smoke any-are there any signs I could see of a worn piston/rings?

A compression check is a good way to tell you if it is still sealing. If it is within a few pounds, I would leave it alone.

you will start to hear a clatering also when it's time. i have changed mine three times. I own a track and thats all i do is ride about 40-50 hrs a week. If your just riding on the weekends you should be fine for another season.
