Sorry bros, the killer weather has made me ride instead of work on the project, the wife and kids sucking up more free time in the holidays and some nasty dental surgery has slowed my progress. Will be working on it soon. Hope to ride it in spring. also been playing with a awesome 165 kit on my WR125 husky that turned out amazing and RIPS. Bike are just to much fun.

Hey Ride,

Long time no see. NIce looking build you have here.

I dont have the YZ426 anymore, i sold it in supermoto trim and a few weeks later picked up a 1990 KX500 for nearly nothing. My dad and I put a new top end in, gaskets all around, new hose clamps, waterpump seal, moose spacer on the carb, cant wait to fire it up this week. Looks like you have a kx5 as well!

Check out my newbie thread over here....

Cant wait to see the rest of your project! When do you think you will have exhaust fitted?

Sorry, been swamped with life. Motor is apart so I can bore the swingarm hole slightly. Could not do it with motor intact as it has hardened steel inserts and was not going to bore. Will mount it and mill it out. Once this is done and the motor back together it should be fairly quick work on the rest. Hope to have it running in a few months.

it will be on the trail within a few months I hope. Got sidetracked and rescued / gave some love to an abused 125 about to be a 165...

Went from this and needing a lot...

thanks man, it is super fun. Had many 125/144/165's and there is not much more fun than that.

Most people ask :you right that on these steep hills" thinking a 125 will not climb stuff but have found I can climb better on it as it is light and just keeps crawling up it.

this is not super steep but steep and no problem...

This is a great idea for a sticky thread.   Really fun seeing homemade exotics.  That old Husky with the newer motor in it is wayy cool too.   Brings back memories of how special (and beautiful) the old 390 Husky was.  More please.

Just checking in but still interested... I know how it is. Once you have a couple of bikes keeping up with projects are harder.
