I have heard some say they just clean and reuse their regular paper filters. Is this possible/safe?

If so...how do you clean the filter?

thanks,

i asume you are referring to oil filters.if your referring to the oil filter on the 400/426 it is a fine screen mesh that is cleanable(carb cleaner),however i would clean it up to 10 times(max) then replace.a paper filter is not cleanable period.as a safe bet check with a local shop or manual.

I've heard many people clean and reuse their paper oil filters. Replace it if it tears, though.
