PS - please to anyone out there that finds the solution to their problem posted on ThumperTalk, please please please post the solution! I assume most people are uber-jubilant when their "dead" motorbike runs again and forget to hop back on and share the solution with the two-wheeled community, Keep ridin'!
This... Been searching for similar problems to my bike and they always fall short of posting the actual solution.... It really is key to helping people solve their problems. Looking very likely that Im having stator issues.

There are several things that can make the bike do what yours may be doing. Have you started a thread or asked anyone specifically about it?

The original posters problem was a bad flywheel over driving the CDI. It happens all the time with the aftermarket flywheels. A bad bearing on the stator side can produce little shavings that can short the stator when the voltage gets high enough. Ive got one on the bench right now as a matter of fact.

Start a thread and list what yovue checked!

Thanks for the reply Shawn. When quoting the OP, I should have left out my problem to prevent confusion. I had spent a few hours searching for similar problems and in so many threads the original posters would stop short of posting the solution to their problem.

I ended up buying an entire electrical system off eBay for $125 (stator, flywheel, kill switch, coil, CDI, wiring harness) So I should be golden when the parts arrive. Maybe for the sake of helping others in the future I should start a thread about my bikes symptoms and the solution when it's found? Have you seen the bad bearing issue on RMZ's as well?
