I pulled the trigger on a new Husqvarna. It was more a dealer issue then a bike issue over the Yahmaha. I am having fun with it so far. Good luck to all the blue riders out there with their 2012s.

Has anyone tried the new IMS 3 Gallon tank?  How is the fit and installation?

I have the new tank. Got the first clear one off the line. It fits great. Easy to put on and looks good. Only hard thing is getting water in the radiator is damn near impossible. I recommended It. A note use a torque wrench on the fuel pump bolts.

PS, it goes well through the creeks, but it doesn't operate well as a U-Boat. I dropped it in one of the creek crossings and it sucked up a fair amount of water before it died. I pulled the tank and the spark plug and stood it up on the back wheel and cranked it over until water stopped coming out and reassembled it. Had to ride it about 20 miles back to town so the oil looked like milk when I got back but there really wasn't much I could do. Drained and changed the oil for the next day's ride and everthing seems to be in order. One note though. Next time I'll pull the oil filter and run it for the day without it. I think there was a bit much of the sludge in the filter and it probably would have been better without it than with it. Got back home the next day and changed the oil again, everything seems to be fine.

That tank looks good. Do they come in black? What kind of stabilizer are you running?

Nice! looks like IMS took some time to make this tank not look like a big ugly mess.... i'm definitely going to have to order one, and yes, they do come in Black which should look even better (less noticable) than the clear.

Axe I'm running a Scott's stabilizer. In my opinion there is no substitution for them. I have tried others and they don't perform like the Scott's.

Does the damper reduce the head shake. Mine has got some bad head shake after 50 mph

Look for the new August issue of Dirt Rider..... they finally have a head to head comparison of the new WR against the 450 XC-W, Beta 450rr, and Honda 450X. They absolutely bitch slap the WR, with 6 out of 7 test riders picking it dead-last.

They have a couple of valid points in the article.... first, they hate the non-hydraulic clutch. They complain about the "stiff pull"... I say... "grow a pair"! The clutch pull is not that difficult, but I have noticed the clutch actuation point fades like a mofo when you're riding it really hard. Definitely a possible future upgrade for me. Second, they despise the starting, and I have to agree. Although I have mine figured out most of the time, it doesn't like to re-start after a long period of hard riding... and there are just far too many people complaining nation wide about the starting issues... Yamaha needs to figure this out.

They spend far too much time talking about the 11 pounds more that the WR weighs over the KTM... and they go as far as saying the WR "feels heavy"... huh? Did they even ride this thing? Definitely the first publication I've read from any country on planet earth that says the WR "feels heavy" when riding it.

Dirt Rider just keeps up their love affair with KTM once again. I ride with ALL KTM guys, and yeah they might be able to crawl at low speeds better than me through the real nasty stuff, but when it comes to open desert riding or single track forest trails, not a single one of them can keep up with me on the new 450. Thats all I have to say about that.

getting more than a wobble but not a death shake. Everything seems tight. Do you have a guess on what could be causing
