fast idling

After riding my 07 yz450f my idle speed picks up significantly, should i just adjust the idle speed or is there something else going on?.... also hard to start from the get go....

try changing your pilot jet.

If you have never set your pilot screw mixture, you need to start there:

It is normal that the engine should isle better/faster when warned up completely, but it should not be a big difference. If the adjustment above doesn't fix things, look at your valve clearance.

also make sure your fuel screw is seated right. There is an oring and spring that seals it where it screws into the float bowl. If you installed an aftermarket fuel screw this might be an issue.
