i know that there are many variables to this, but how many miles could you expect to see out of one of these motors? just easy every day riding the occasional off road and almost no high way. oil changes every 800 - 1000 miles. just a ball park or what others have seen

Others have way more km.

+1 on BIN's 1st sentence.

There are variables to the longevity of any engine , i.e. regular maintenance , how you ride, racing or cruising etc..

Congrats. You'll love it. I'm wishing I would have sent mine to Eddie, although the install really wasn't hard, those small quirks that are causing me trouble would have been cake for Eddie.

Sent the motor off to Eddie last week, then decided to just do the stroker while he has it with all RHC head parts and porting. Can't wait to get it back in the bike!

That is the best move...  I bought a complete BB with cams from Eddie installed it, rode it for a month with a big grin, then sent him my stock motor to be stroked with the works.  The bike is a blast to ride,  you won't regret getting all the work done.  Now I have a SSW BB with cams and 39mm fcr sitting on the stand... but I have an SSW Stroker sitting in the frame.   :smirk:

if you have a 100% stock bike it runs $3200 or so for the full on big bore and stroke build with 41mm carb, pipe, shipping etc.

just a few years ago it was closer to $4000 for the same thing.
