I just purchased a lot in suburban estates because I was getting tired of getting hassled at the other places we ride. I know I probably should have asked this before I bought, but is holopaw at suburban estates good to ride dirt bike?

Yes there are plenty of great places to ride dirtbikes out there. Lots of sandy whoops, berms, hills you name it.

There are even a handful of jumps. I don't know if you know the land at all but somebody owns property out there with a small track built up for bikes with freestyle jumps with the metal take off ramps and everything.

They also have a big jump over an old school bus lol. Its cool to see. but I doubt you will be able to ride it as it is private property anyways.

The riding out there is ok, but during hunting season you may get hassled, especially on the north end (nicest woods IMO).

The "track" you described belongs to a private Quads Only club and is not for dirtbikes.  I also have land out there and used to ride a lot out there a few years ago.  We had a pretty good trail that was a mix of wide open and some woods.  I don't go out there on weekends it is too crazy.  Hunting season is ok as long as you don't go riding early than 9 am and get off the trail by 4:30 pm (and stay on the south end of the property - most hunting is on the north end).  I have not been out there in a year and a half.  There are other areas to ride that are safer/better!  Places like Hard Rock, Croom, Bostwick (has trails and MX track), Thundercross and L- Cross also have trails and MX track.  Suburban estates is kind of like the Wild West!

Well, thanks for clearing that up. I assumed as much as it looked like it was designed for the MX bike. I don't own any land out there But I know two guys that own a plot or two. Went out there once, saw alot of great places to ride bikes but I personally won't be riding out anytime soon. too far and there are places that are better and closer.

RyanK just because you didn't see dirt bike pictures at Holopaw, does that mean they do not exist?  No, so I found some & put them on
http://www.holopawfl.com/Photos.html
They are at the bottom of the photo page.
Quads & 4x4s out number dirt bikes now a days so it is going to be hard to find pictures of dirt bikes.  Send me your dirt bike pictures at Holopaw & I will put them on HolopawFL.com

It was dry the times I was out there.  It can get wet if it had a lot of rain.

i'Ve owned and riden there for ten years. Plenty of fun riding for bikes. More dakar rally type riding but fun with groups. I would not recommed weekend riding though. Crazy quads on 2way trails, plus jeeps, trucks, mudders, hunters, air boats, monster trucks, tackers, and everything in between. We ride on Fridays and have the place to ourselves.

Where did you see air boats & tackers at Holopaw?
If you have pictures can you send them to the HolopawFL link above?
I now have 2 1/2 dry lots 2 of which I am keeping & 8 wet/dry lots. I was out there a few times the 3rd full week of December & met about a dozen people out there early in the day to show some lots & I ended up selling about 7 lots.  Pulled in there early in the a.m. & seen a hunter leave with 3 wild hogs (the place is private property so they can be hunted year round).  So the hunters leave early.  One day I stopped out at the shooting range, that was fun watching them shoot.  I left each day after 2PM & the parking lot did not have many vehicles in it during the week, so you have the place mostly to yourself.  Weekends are busier.  New Years is the craziest time & is no place for a dirt bike.

Believe Brett about the airboats!  During the "wet season" a lot of the property becomes a big marsh.  I have seen airboat trailers and airboats parked in an area north of the parking lot.  There is a access road (graded and maintained by the rancher that uses it) and the area north of this road gets very wet.  I expect some of the airboats are used to get into hunting areas.  I have rode this same area in very dry conditions and still found mud/water that we could not get around or through.

You can "almost" get to lake Brick which is part of the Alligator Lake chain of lakes.  I used to fish that lake with my dad back in the 70's and it still looks the same now as then.  It is very difficult to get too and surrounded by private ranch land so there has been no development.  Do a Google earth map search of the area and you can see the marshes/lakes.

I have a nice dry lot near the "private track" but don't go out there much anymore.  A friend sent me some pictures of a weekend outing recently and it was kind of crazy with huge amounts of weapons at the shooting range, quads, trucks, and lots of beer.  Not a good combination to go blasting around the trails on a dirt bike.  We ride very fast not just "trail riding" so with that many people the risk of a collision is great on the weekends.

I'll second that, Rednecks get pissed when you are haulin ass on your little dirtbike and they are on their 600lb quad or a big ass mud truck. Last time I was at Holopaw some guy yelled at me for going too fast around a turn, He said I was putting them in danger. Mind you I was on a 230lb pound dirtbike while they were all on 600lbs four wheelers lmao....

I was there once in a 4x4. I wouldn't drag my dirtbikes to this place.

Either deep sand or deep water. Try Ocala, Croom, Dirtyfoot, L-Cross, anyplace not so crowded.

It Really is WILD WEST!!!  "Hold my beer , watch this"

Mount a keg on your bike , you'll fit right in
