Maybe it's your rebuild skills that are causing all your problems?? :busted:

Maybe when the drive chain can outlast the engine there is more to it than maintenance ....  They are great bikes when new but the generation of Berg I had would produce lots of metal shavings every oil change and dealer would say it was normal and caused by straight cut trany gears which is BS ! Gears were good .... Was the rocker arms and cam sprocket..... Good luck with yours .. I am sure you enjoy hanging out at the dealer ordering parts and hearing how great these bikes are ! lol

Like my post says, I don't hang out at my dealers as I look after my bike and, as a result, it is reliable! If you don't like the Husabergs so much why are you on this forum?

When I owned my Berg I regarded it like no other... Changed the oil every ride and filter every other... Air filter as needed... I am on here cause a fella was wondering about a 04 Berg.... I threw my expieriances with mine in ..... I did everything right with mine and it went backwards ! The power and handling is top of the line no question they pull hard on bottom to top... and there designs are maintenance friendly but they aren't for everyone..... I feel like when I owned one that the dealer and Husaberg feed the owners $hit and kept them in the dark .... I would still consider owning one again as long as I researched there short comings more .... Maintenance wise and longevity of engine.. There are plenty out there who have better experiences with them.  I like them but feel like the one I owned was a one season bike with pore resale ...

Have a buddy that had a 04'. He didn't ever have issues but I imagine that with any bike, there are "lemons" every once in a while. He wanted something better suited for his size so he sold his berg and picked up a 09' Honda CRF250X that ended up being a complete turd with constant issues. Now he off loaded that bike and will be going back to Husaberg or possibly Husqvarna or KTM......

I hear the 05's were pretty good too but I never rode an 05'. I did ride my buddies 04' and liked it.
