Thanks for the compliments, lets keep this thread going.  Forgot to mention that I have 07 crf250 suspension and it does handle and turn much better than my stock stuff,  just deciding on whether to have the cylinder ported.  Yeah those are excels but to be honest with you they came off of a crf450 that I bought and are pretty beat.  Plus my buddy bought a very low hour 04 cr250 and it looked so cool just bone stock!  BlackCr, where abouts do you live in TN? I ask because for the last 5 years or so I've been wanting to move to Nashville and am really itching to pull the trigger soon, haha.

So what is the difference about the suspension other than it has 7mm less travel and the newer valving specs? I'm curious because i sent my off to fcr and got there works package W/O the sub tanks. And the bike is way more settles and i can charge so much harder in the whoops and hard landings. I like my stockers to but i love the black look idk why Geico honda made everyone want to rock black rims haha I was going with the stock look like in earlier photos of my bike but trashed both of the radiator covers and used the original 02 ones from when i bought the bike and just slapped the graphics on to make it bearable while i get all of the mechanical stuff done.

You know it's funny you say that I figured they were "well used", just by trying to look closely. It's funny how the grass is always greener on the other side. When you have 1 thing, you want another...Haha rarely does someone get a bike and just think it's perfect. Same goes for all types of things though. As of right now I have a black front and silver rear. Can't wait to get that rear wheel.

Yes I live in Memphis, so about 2.5-3 hrs away from Nashville. Been there plenty of times. Pretty clean city, great music presence, great feel. Many a memphian has moved out to nashville or east TN due to 1 reason or the other regarding memphis. I've often said that memphis isn't even really a part of TN, I swear as soon as you start heading immediately east of memphis it just gets more and more beautiful, better and better. My ideal place would be knoxville up in the smoky mnts. It's a great place to be (Nash) tons of great looking gals, great town! Plenty to do and beautiful, plus you're in middle TN so knox on one side or the blues city on the other (memphis)

I have drove through TN so many times and agree that Knoxville is awesome !

Well for one the front axel is pushed back 5mm or so, this helps in the turning dept.   I know that the valving is different but that consists mostly on the rebound end, your FCR suspension is probably better than mine but I think that there may be more potential with the newer stuff.   Hey Sev, are you in NC?  For some reason I thought you were in AZ.  I'd love to check out NC one day to, maybe after i make it to TN.

For sure!  Only thing is, is that I plan on leaving the cr or selling it and taking my drz400s for street/trail riding.  Im not sure right now, I just started a new job about 6 months ago but damn I really wanna get outta Socal, so tired of the flat billed, energy drink, tattoed knuckle heads.  Really shooting for maybe May or June but things never seem to work out lol.  I will def let you know when I do make it out there. Plus I really have a thing for them southern women :smirk:

yeah man i am in NC there are a ton of track and the state is beautiful in the majority of places. I like it but the eco has effected some smaller towns quite a lot my parents are in the military and we live by Pinehurst Nc whitch is the golf capital of america haha 127 courses in our county ! ... but i don't play much. So the economy has not hit out towns to bad. Still a great place to live but the state taxes are &%$#@!ing crazy bad. everything cost more here. Other than socal haha jk jk i was actually born in San Diego. I was asking about the forks because i was thinking about the swap but didn't know if a set of 22mm clamps would do the same thing as the 5mm less spacing on the axle. I still have some work on the forks there is a harsh mid i'm still tuning out only had 4 rides before i got hurt.... lame.

Dude screw that go wheelie down the street! NOT haha but man you are lucky in my opinion. You picked the best time of the year to be hurt. You'll be back up and running just in time. BTW that track looks dope! As does the 134! Where is that?

Nice CR125 (134), haha.  Yeah them is nice graphics lol.  Looking good in the corners and hitting those big gaps, Im just starting to get my confidence on some larger gaps.  Interesting thread, thats a good idea about the clamps, maybe you dont need them, how does the bike turn for you?  I can say that the bike did feel closer to my rm250 after installing the newer forks in the turning dept.  Def keep up posted on the porting, Im also looking for more mid/topend and get better soon.

Thanks man, as far as jumping and gaining confidence work on staying loose and relaxed. I used to be afraid of jumping when i was on 80's and would stiffen up and freeze. But after having a best friend who is a A class rider and teaches me everything i know i love jumping and having full control of my bike at all times its a good feeling. Start small and work you way up and if you are not fully commented to doing it don't haha  The bike not turns great i have the forks all the  way flush with the top clamps because of a track i rode at a lot called wide open mx park is just a wfo track so it helped with a little of the head shake. But for a slower track i run the the forks about 2 - 6mm higher for a faster turn in. I love this bike and wish i could of rode it more that 6 hr. feels just like my 125 with way more balls..!!

Tonight i started to dissemble the engine. The cylinder is off i have some pic's to show what i started with and will hopefully have the thing ported and cleaned up by Sunday. OMG the power valves where such a pain to get out, but they finally did. I was shocked at how clean the exhaust port was looks like after it was jetted properly it kinda cleaned it self. The bike is still slightly rich which is okay with me. I have never fouled a plug in this bike with the 9 hr of ride time i have had one it. Plug color is a dark brown. I will also do the "R/C" valve mod but really don't think its going to do much but i guess i won't know till i am able to ride again.  Those are the original 02 cross hatches this is the first top end of the bikes life!!! Still has a lot of hours of play on her.

That's funny I was just about to ask you if you had any tips for jumping. I ride with all 4t guys basically, so their techniques and ours do not mix what so ever IMO so most of my tips I get off here or youtube.
