This game is the best MX video game I have ever played. And I've had a few! I got my CRF downloaded and tweaked, let me practice some more and then I'll meet you in The Zone. :)

Glad to see you like it! Out of all the superx tracks #3 jacksonville (quite simple) I like the most. Once dialed in, set up for 10 laps and you can lap the whole field twice! The fastest I did it in was 46.16. Usually are in the 48's though.
I like the nationals best off all though. On the enduro (I think) one has a train. See if you can jump on the flat bed train car by using the cross road ramps. Go along WITH the train, hit cross ramp and on to the flat bed. Once on you MUST throttle back and fourth on flatbed. Too far F or B and you bump just once and it usually spits you off. I tried several times to jump onto the next car but don't beleive this can be accomplished. Once your on nothing else left to do but jump off again which I don't recall if I ever did. Try it! Once you do do it, well..you did it. Really not that exciting or anything but it took me a while to time it just right.

Norcal, I have a microsoft Sidewinder precision pro joy stick. Think it was around 30.00 or so. Had it 3 or 4 years or so. So far, so good...no problems with it. With how much I play I thought for sure it would have broke by now so I reccommend it highly. All the buttons are somewhat different on these newer models then mine.

Here's the link to it.

This is the best model they are showing. I beleive they have 3 different ones. Surf around and you'll find them.
Here's another link that compares them. They went up some in price. You might not need the top of the line one. I think I have like a middle grade and even that one I don't use all the buttons. Just depends what games you will be playing I guess? The top of the line one with vibration is stupid and a waste of $$. 44.00 one looks alot like mine.

Get bike and rider skins at www.motocrossmadness2.com.

I've got an '02 CRF450 skin, and even found a rider skin wearing the grey/black O'Neal gear that I wear, so I modified it by putting my name and number on the back of the jersey.

I got a Saitek Cyborg 3D Rumble Force. I think it was around $30 also and no problems so far. I only had this one, so I can't compare. :) I've been using it alot with my Combat Flight Simulator.

You can download stuff from http://www.zoneracin...CM2/default.asp

I've been playing this game since it came out a few years ago and I've tried many different types of controllers- from the Freestyle pro (motion controller), to adapted N64 and PS2 controllers. I've honed my speed in the meat-grinder of online racing (though I still usually get smoked). After all that it is my belief that you need a joystick for this game if you want to get really fast. I've got a Sidewinder (which seems to be the js of choice among MM2 experts). joysticks just allow for more precise control.

This by far the best MX game made (still!), although Rainbow Studios is working on a new game that will blow it away when it comes out in January. It will only be available for the PS2 and X-Box.

Frank
I believe it is the 600 Kawai 4 stroke. If not 600 then what ever is the largest 4 stroke size in that bike.
I must be beating you because you didn't mention what your doing it in! :)

PS Just hit in the 45's last night but really if I took an overall average probably would be 49's.

Post a few of your fastest on whatever track, ANYONE!!! I'm just curios if I'm not as good as I think I am! :D

UPDATE. It is the Vector 600. Pic shows it as a 2 stoke but it is a 4. Don't really think on that particular track it made a difference whether it was a 250 2 stroke or open thumper.

Voodoo national, which is my favorite, I think my best time was around 58. You can download this game with that track for free at www.motocrossmadness2.com.

Huffa. Do you ever race in the zone?

I mostly race my CRF on the 400cc or 600cc 4-stroke setting, but I noticed you can hit the tripples a little easier with the CR 500.

Voodoo -58. I'll give it a try and see if I can smoke you or dissapoint myself!

Zone, I'd love to try it. I asked before and have to check how to do it. I get confused real easy on this computer stuff so don't mind you giving imput on how to accomplish this procedure. In the mean time I'm anxios to see lap time on Voodoo.
Be back!

Riding Rob
You have more riding to do! Vodoo lap times 56.39, 55.62, 55.82 and last lap a smokin 54.59 :) That's on my trusty Vector 600 thumper which is the kawasaki clone.

Get riding!!! Try adjusting the suspension different. Sometimes because of adjustment you can stay lower off the jumps. Maybe thats where your losing time or I'm just DAM good! :D

I really got to try this zone thing! I'll be embarassed though if I faulter under pressure and get terrible lap times. :D but I'm willing to give it a shot.
Does it highly depend on how quick your computer is or is it even steven's for everyone?

I'm not to good with this computer stuff either. Its not hard at all and its free. Just sign in and go to Motocross Madness 2. Click where all the players are at. Then a screen will pop up with a bunch of games. Click join, or you can host your own. I just signed up in The Zone only a couple of weeks ago, so I still have alot to learn myself. Theres a chat room on that screen, so you can ask questions right there. I must ask alot of dumb questions, because I sometimes get flamed (I can handle it). I figure its comparable to sombody asking here what oil they should use. :)

58 sec. shouldn't be too hard to beat. :D

I think we (TT guy's) discussed this before... so we have to have like a zone night at a ceratin time? That would be simple. One thing though it would have to be at least 9 or 10 EST so the west coast could play. Probably more like 10 so it's 7PM over there. Maybe even 11 so the central guys fit in the correct time slot as in after diner?

Your right! Your not bad at all taking that into consideration. Just knowing you are shooting for better lap times (to beat me) has pushed me to more perfection and higher expectations. I upped it again to my best ever I think at 52.82!! Funny, one little bobble and I know I ruined a possible lap time record!

Try going to a larger main jet! :D

Seriously though, if you SLOW DOWN on the jump approach's sometimes this is the key... it will set you up lower and more direct for the next turn while others you have to NAIL IT to clear the lip of the next jump or down you go. Lots of tracks it really is timing, try to just bonzi through a double, single then double section and you'll just end up crashing. Just like they say "Slow down to go fast" :) Neat... just like REAL motox!

Come on you guy's! Lets get some lap times... other tracks posted. No sense me posting my times because I'm sure there faster anyway! :D
