If you're going to build a ramp get real plans from the internet, if you don't want a full size 8+ft ramp just subtract the height accordingly.

IK i'm not that intense in fmx and this would be a pit bike jump, do you have a link to any good jump plan website or plans that you use? thanks

That would be a whippy ramp for BMX, let alone any bike with a longer wheelbase...  Is it a flat bank ramp, or transitioned?

If the whole thing is 6ft long as you say, I'd suggest you start out with it around 3ft high, ride it then modify as you go.  Unless you want it to be a real kicker.

It does depend a bit on what you're landing on though. If you set it up as a step-up it'll be a lot safer starting out.

my ramp is for a 110... so... its supposed to launch me high but not far due to space limitations, and im landing on an appropriate dirt landing.

Ok, so a longer bike than a bmx bike then. If you're dead set on 4'6" high, I'd suggest you build your ramp around 8' long. Assuming the ramp is transitioned not a flat bank (wedge), the radius this provides will work a little better.

Still going to be whippy though.

Just to put this into context for you, I build small skate kicker ramps for people. At 18" high, these work out between 4 and 5ft long depending on the user.
