"Eddie Mod" instead of "Taffy Mod" for YZ400F

I have come across an alternate to the "Taffy Mod" for slant body FCR carburettors (such as on '98 & '99 YZ400F).

It referred to as the "Eddie Mod" and seems to be mostly referred to on the DRZ-400 forum (some DRZ models had the same type of carburettor).

Has anyone applied the "Eddie Mod" to a YZ400F and if yes, how did it work out ?
