Tires

Recommended Posts

I tried the Michelin Starcross MH2 tire for the front and was amazed at how well it worked. Much better then the current 20" Dunlop 756 I have on.

If I ever go back to the 21 that is the ONLY tire I will run. Some Walmarts even stock them but I haven't had any luck here in AZ.

Never tried the rear, but my friends in Florida swear by the S12 rear.

I mounted a MS2 on the back and it hooks up real well.

Pretty soft rubber though and seems to wear fast on the hardpack I have been on lately with the summer sun and dry breezes drying the track out so quickly.

Great tire

I have had awesome luck with the Mich. M-12f

and the S-12r.

Seems to be a great combo.

I had the M-12on the rear and it felt like ice skates.

I also had the S-12 on the front and it did good in soft-imdt but sucked on roads or hard pack.

My friend w/the m-12 on the back of his cr500 said the same thing........Must be something with the torque.

Seemed OK on launch or acc but really stunk on braking!

I am kinda biased towards Mich as i have stated b4.

I am not sure but i think that mich sponsors a BIB buck program across the nation.

Basically they pay you cert. $ if you where a couple of stickers and ride there tires.

$50 for 1st

$10 for 5th

can't beat that.

Not sure if it is nat. wide though

YOu guys may wanna' check.

Just got $120 the other day and that makes a total of $200 for the year! :D

That is for an avg ride!

last year they paid me nearly $600-800 incl.

$100 bonus for season champ.

I havent bought a tire for 1.5 yrs ?

NOW THAT IS COOL

I would just like to thank my MX sponsors.....................

MICH.

and..............MY PAYCHECK........ :D ........LOL

I am looking at either dunlops or michelins for a needed tire replacement...

What do you guys recommend for intermiediate to harDpadk I am in KS so it's pretty dry and hard most of the season..

The MH2sounds interesting and I have a M12 that was on the bike when I got it but it won't hook up to well on the hard stuff...

Do any of you suggest going with a matched front and rear or not?

Do you have any contact info so I could call and find out if they have that program available here in AZ?
