ok my 96 xp runs great, until i open it all the way up then it starts to sputer, any one have any idea whats causing this? thanks

ok for some reason that only lasted one day but now whenever i hit a wave and land on the backend it shuts off and then won't turn back on until about 20 minutes later then it starts right up and goes till you hit another wave any ideas?

Is it when your fuel is at about a half tank? I find that mine sucks air into the fuel line when at about a half tank... I always run it on reserve since there is a fuel gauge anyway. Also, try cutting your spark plug wires back about an inch.

Could be corrosion at the end of the spark plug wire, cutting it back will reveal fresh copper and less resistance.  Also put new plugs in it, sometimes you can be amazed by what fresh spark plugs can do, especially in watercraft.
