I bought an 06 YZ450F last week and am trying to identify the spring rate of the rear spring. It has a silver/grey spring and my manual doesn't even have a listing for that color and I can't find any other markings on it. Any ideas?

All of the springs are the same color. Only the ID mark at the bottom will match the color listed on the chart in the manual. See page 7-18.

Odds are, though, that it's the original standard spring. One nearly certain test of this is to test it with a magnet. If it doesn't stick, it's a titanium spring, and because those are so expensive, almost no one buys them to change spring rates. Yours is very probably the stock 5.5 kg/mm spring.
