How custom is your custom part?:prof::lol:

Let's see them. :smirk:

I made a key off a hydraulic fuel fitting off a crashed F/A 18(that's what I was told). It shows some scuffs & dented on some parts which also makes it more special. I found the part(s) out in the desert(Yuma, AZ area) during one of our desert adventures a few seasons ago. :smirk:

I've mostly been machining parts for my VFR but I did set aside time to make the DRZ more stable..I machined all the mounts, lever and locater ring and built a manual electronic controller operated by the rotary pot knob by the throttle, it's the tits for $30 total spent, some fabricating required. It's a 2007/2010 CBR600RR HESD (Honda Electronic Steering Damper)..... control range 1 volt to about 8V full damp. My DRZ400E is happier now with knobbies at 70 mph and a solid feel on full damp. And nice off/road too. :smirk:

Here's my VFR with the Ducati 1098 Damper, I machined mounts and fitted it after I fitted modern wheels/tires some machine work required but it drives sweet.

I like these custom mods.  Keep them coming.  Beer can mod, I might have to copy that one.  I also like the vapor bar pad.  You didn't mention how you mounted your rear blinkers.  I did that last night with a set of amber trailer markers.  Guess I won't be posting that now.  I don't think we should clutter up this thread with FCR mods and MRD exhausts.

^^I completely agree,^^ otherwise we could've just added these to the existing "what did you do to your z" thread. :smirk:

I welded this up out of some 1/4" steel rod and a bit of scrap steel.

I didn't like the CHUNK of a chain guard... so I went minimal.  Just enough to keep the flying chain lube off my leg!  :smirk:

I made a GPS bracket out of a piece of aluminum angle and made an flat aluminum bracket to bolt my tool holder to.  After all the sawing, cutting and drilling of your aluminum parts, deburr them, then sand them in one direction with finer paper or use a "Scotchbrite" pad.  Clean with a suitable solvent and apply clearcoat finish to make them look almost like a factory part.  I found a tough clearcoat for wheels at the auto parts store which works great.

Cheers,
:smirk:
