Noticed that mountain bikes are now coming out with tubeless designs.

Do you guys know if this has been attempted for motos before?

Yes it has. That is about all I know. There is always the foam inserts and SRC has come out with a new system for the front tires that is based on something like 27 individual balls inside the tire. Sorry I couldn't help more.
