I am doing a big wheel conversion on my son's KX 85. I purchased the swingarm, wheels/rims,tires, and rear brake line. Do I need anything else? Will I need to change the linkage or shock or is it the same. Thanks for help

You'll need this too. It will work with the one from an 85, but it won't work the way it should.

Thanks. I was confused with this because OEM was giving different part numbers for the linkage as a whole.

Is the arm for 100 larger or shaped different. Is it worth buying a PR2 or RG3 for a couple of hundred in price difference. I already had shock built for 85 for his weight and riding style.

The part is shaped the same, just longer. As fas as PR2 etc. I have never used. I have a local suspension guy that I trust and he's never mentioned anything. I guess with all the R&D they do it would make a difference but how much, who knows. A lot would have to do with the level of the rider. I'd say of he's pushing it to the max every little bit helps. We've had the suspension re-valved and set up for his weight and couldn't be happier. Plus with a local guy he's always there for us.

Do you know if the swing arm and wheels from an 04 kx 100 will work with an 08 kx 85.

You'd have to check part numbers but I'm almost certain it will. I believe we used '04 parts on our '07.
