Looks like Kawi/Suz's new 250F is going to steal HONDA'S thunder. They should have had this bike ready by August. Put the 250F in production before the 2004 CRF450.. I mean come on they had the pre-production model done long ago. They had plenty of time to get the final specs done on the motor, etc.. Everything I've been reading on-line about Kawi's new bike has been pretty good... I'm sure they will sway some consumers the green and yellow way. They did me.. I'm not waiting untill Jan or Feb. for a HONDA...

i think people like the kawi engine so much because it comes stock with a high compression piston.

This thread is ancient, but I think you hit the nail on the head smf919. The kaw's come with 13.5 compression. Once you put the high comp piston in the crf it's a more fair comparison of overall power...
