i have been riding for 3 years now and i just got a new CRF230 in May of this year. i am not totally satisfied with the acceleration of the bike. i heard that the easiest way to remedy this was to change the gearing. has anyone done this and if so what parts?, was it worth it?

PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!

Depends on what you say....unhappy and how?

For ours I dropped one tooth in the front, and the thing crawls through rocks like a champ!

did you try the free mods such as unpluging the air scoop from the air box and cutting out the spark arrestor screen thing in the air filter? after that i went with jetting the carb..for under 20 bucks you can get some more zip out of the 230
