Got this kit and one race set sits flush against the rubber seal/lip of the bearing to which its mated, while the other has maybe 1mm of clearance. 1st race drags against the lip of the rubber seal while the other spin freely with no contact. There is nothing in the kit stating that one or the other is upper or lower.
I guess I'll call Pivot Works tommorrow, but have a feeling they'll tell me its no big deal and just pop em' in.
In the meantime, has anyone got experiance with these?
Thanks...

This may help a bit (not sure though as I haven't actually watched it).

I only use OEM bearings, but the one that does not touch the seal built into the upper bearing is obviously NOT the upper race. The seal won't do any good without contact.

Makes sense. Thanks for chiming in, Gray
These Pivot Works bearings are definately not uniform in their architecture.
I'm going to call Pivot Works and see what their excuse is.

I think that the upper and lower factory outer races have the same difference in height, but of course, they are each packaged together with their respective cone assembly, so there isn't the same confusion.
