I'm getting 50 to 55 mpg.  245 miles +/- until reserve.  I've read of the KLR vacuum operated petcocks getting funny and refusing to flow early, before they should, sometimes leaving you stranded with lots of fuel left.  I plan on replacing my stock petcock with a non-vacuum unit (for a Yamaha Raptor, I believe).
