Baja Designs is updating their Dual Sport kits to work with stock OEM head lights. There for we will have lower priced kit if you want to use you're stock head light. If you live in North County San Diego area and would like to get a Dual Sport kit for a good price and installed by us so all we ask is if we could keep the bike from a Mon-Fri. We are not guaranteeing that you'll get a plate in California with the Dual Sport kit. This is strictly for R&D purposes! Feel free to Pm for details or if you would like to bring in you're bike. Or you can call me at 760-560-2252 Ext 122. We have already completed one on a CRF450X. :ride:

How would this work if I already have your kit on my bike? I like the look of the stock headlight.

I've had your kit on my 1999 XR400 since 1999. It's served me well. A few broken parts, but mostly due to me soil sampling.

we need to see these bikes so we can determine in this case the 07WR450f comes with a stock incandescent bulb and need to see if it has low/beam capablities where some bikes comes with a halogen bulb like the KLX450R do

I can send you the Head light assy from my '07 WR450F if you would like. Or I can drag the bike down to you...

Also, for those of us dual sporters frustrated with repeatedly toasted/fried/powdered taillights, I have just installed Baja Designs' LED tail/stop/license light/fender assembly. Got it for the best price and quick delivery thru TT Store. Looks WAY cooler than my prior rear luz.

NOW LET'S SEE IF IT STANDS UP TO THE CLUMSY VIBRATION POUNDING I GIVE IT.

I have had that taillight for 3 years now and have never had it fail:thumbsup:

Thanks for posting your experience timeframe on that light! Out of an abundance of curiosity, what kind of (abusive?) riding have you inflicted on it?

My baja design tail light gets water inside it. Im guessing from when i washed it. I made sure the screws were tight. Any way of fixing that? Not sure how the water got inside it.

I've seen reference to running a bead of silicone to make them watertight.

Sounds like you have inflicted vibration/pounding on light requisite for a passing grade on it!

You are clearly part of (as am I) group#1 of the only two types of riders there are (#1: Been Down; #2: Goin' Down). Sorry for the old cliche'. Get better soon!

I have a 1996 XR 600 I tuned into a supermoto bike. I purchased a Baja kit from you guys and with your detailed directions had no problem installing it. I love how it came with the vehicle code to get it licensed. I live in
California and got this done several years ago. I know the laws have changed as far as getting a plate with a dual sport kit installed here in California. I stripped down my bike and had the frame powder coated. I reinstalled the baja kit but now it doesn't work correctly. Before I pulled apart the wiring I marked all the terminals . Do you know if the powder coating screwed up the bikes grounding system. Do I need to run a ground wire from a good ground source on the frame to the Baja kit. I tried to find the wiring diagram to double check myself but couldn't find it. Could you guys send me another wiring diagram? Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

Do you have any idea when this kit will be available? I have a 2004 XR400 and would like to dual sport it sometime this summer. I previously had a XR650R and installed the BD DS kit on it. I liked the fit and quality and wanted to do the same on the 400, but if I can keep the stock headlight, I'd rather do that.

Hi Flying High the new powder coating will affect the grounding of the electrical system so you will have to grind some of that new coating down to get a good ground for the system. What is you're email address and I can email you a diagram of the kit for you?
