hi guys, my buddy wants to sell me his 88 yamaha srv. its pretty good condishon, 2400 miles, extra dg exhaust, extra hood, and an extra track with studs(but there worn down). Starts first pull and idles perfect. He's asking $650 but now that winter is done i'm not sure if i want to buy it. Anyone got any advice????? thanks

If he isn't eager to sell it, you could always just wait and buy it next fall. The 540's are very reliable motors, its basically the same motor used in the Viking utility sled up until a couple years ago. Its definitely a good beater sled to just get out on the snow. If its in good shape and comes with all those extra parts, its probably worth the $650.
