Where can I find the VIN ON A 1999 yz400f? Is it supposed to be on the steering neck, throttle side?

Yeah there's different paint on it, but I just restamped my vin into the neck though, messed up one letter, but kinda fixed it by overlapping the next letter! (had to change an o into a c! Think I'll have problems with that?
