Replaced my cam chain today and started to bike after. Started very easy but I hear a knock in the engine, does this mean my timing is off?

A knock, tapping, or slap? Did you confirm the tensioner is operating properly as well and all the guides were solid?

If the noise wasn't there before you replaced the chain then the first place to look would be to see you got the chain tensioner set right, as a loose chain will make all sorts of noises as it allows the cam to rock from valve spring pressure. If that's fine then check that the timing is correct (both cam and ignition), then if the bike has an auto compression release and that it's functioning properly.

Almost anything else would have had to be pre-existing to cause a knock.
