Changing tires

Hey guys,

I have been lazy in my old age and have let other people change over my tires on my bikes. I was wondering what kind of tire irons is everyone using nowadays. Years ago I always just used big screwdrivers. I was going to get some.

i use the cheap 4 dollar for each one, Emgo brand they work great and the tire goes on easy when WD-40 is used!

As with many things in life, lubrication is important. I use soapy water. Haven't tried the WD-40 trick.

The best by far are the Terrycable Tyer Irons. Developed by Ty Davis of course. Big flat spoon like head, with a big comfy grip. Cut my tire changing time in half compared to regular tire irons. Nothing compares, unless you get someone else to do it for you.

I find boiling water in a spray bottle and soap works good.

I have the Motion Pro's with the big bend 17".They rule!!

soapy water,use a wire brush on rim if corroded.
