I recently bought a used 05 yz450 and it seems to sit a little low in the front. The inter tube measures right at 10" when the bike is on the ground with no one on it. If the bike is off the ground the intertube measures where the service book says it should right at 11.8, but should it measure at 11.8 with the bike on the ground and my springs are just shot?

Thanks.

In the Maintenance Specifications section Page 2 - 13 under Front fork travel.

That's the total available travel of the fork from fully extended to fully compressed. It has nothing to do with how high the bike should sit.

When things are working right, the bike should compress the suspension an inch or so under its own weight.

Makes sense, thank you for clearing that up for me.
