This evening I bought a new pressure washer and tried cleaning the bike with Shout for the first time. I took an automotive red sos pad and rubbed down the frame and cases and swingarm while I was washing it and where I rubbed looked brand new afterwards! Definitely sticking to shout from now on. But after that I took the bike inside the shop and disassembled the whole thing and cleaned each individual part like the exhaust, radiators, rad louvers, etc. and then I went over the whole motor and whole frame with shout and sos pad again. Man the thing is looking good now!!!

My plan right now is to just throw in a piston and rings but I will probably need a new cylinder too. My new head has about 50 hours on it and the valves haven't moved and are still in spec so I hope that is all good to go up top!!! But I may end up buying a new clutch basket and clutch plates as well as plastics and graphics and some other goodies before I put it back together.

Here are a couple of pictures. The second one is BEFORE I scrubbed the whole frame.

Yeah the big square red ones you can buy at autozone or someplace. But combined with shout they work twice as good. Here's a picture after I did the whole frame.

So far I've gotten a new oem piston and rings and top end gaskets. Bought a new used seat (because the foam on mine was all tore up) and a $15 black blue seat cover kinda like the 08 stock cover. I bought 09 OEM shroud graphics.

I plan to get rear spokes (mine are bent and won't stay tight,)  black pro taper counter bars, black grips, motion pro titan throttle tube, new tusk levers, tusk carb vent hoses, rim strip, fork bleeders, those honda valve stem rubber things, new sprockets and chain and chain guide and swingarm guard, and then new plastic with number backgrounds similar to these.... Also I plan on cleaning the carb really good and touch up on the jetting, and then cleaning up other parts of the bike such as spray painting the linkage (has stain on it) and axle nut (rusted) and little stuff like that.
Basically I want my bike to look like the bike in the picture haha.

Great job Breeze. Looks like your frame came out great. Have you tried soda blasting the smaller parts, linkage, etc?

I would like to but I don't have a compressor to do it with.

But I did rub the swingarm, linkage, all of bigger bolts, and the rear axle and axle blocks this evening as well as grease the bearings. I also painted the linkage and linkage arm and it looks brand :)

Unfortunately the chain adjuster bolts were rusted. I bought new ones but in the process of unscrewing one of them it torque off. Leaving me with about an inch or less of rusty old bolt. I will go to Ace and see what tools they have for removing such thing, or I may try sticking two nuts together and backing it out.

Also ordered up most of everything today. So far I've spent right around $550. Still have to get number preprints ($70), rear spokes ($50), chain ($50), and possibly a cylinder.

I'm getting really excited because this is the first time I've cleaned the bike in this much detail as well as it's the first time I've spent money on things I didn't need, like graphics (although oem) and another seat and cover and fancy preprints and other stuff haha.

I'm practically building my dream bike; which isn't too bad because my dream bike is any new bike and I'm trying to make my bike look new LOL.

Rode my 12 for 1.5 hrs at Briarcliff MX today.
Still loving this bike. :)
Gave it a wash when I got home.
Bike still looks like new after 22hrs.
Easiest to clean, lowest maintenance bike I have ever had...just change eng/tran oil, clean air filter, lube D.I.D. X-ring chain. :D
