Figured I would start a thread similar to the one in the Yamaha 2-stroke section. Maybe we can get some more activity in the RMZ section going on.

Today I cleaned and regreased the linkage, swingarm, and shock bearings on my 08. I bought it used and was told it was barely ridden but I was surprised to find some rust on a few of the bearings. On half the bearings the needles fell out so that was a headache. But I got it all cleaned up and ready to go in about 3 hours.

Just waiting on a 756 rear and a new chain and sprockets to arrive to put those on. I already took the old stuff off and regreased the rear wheel bearings as well.

So what have you guys been doing to yall's bikes lately?

I ordered parts...motor guards, skid plate,2 shifters, kickstarter, left radiator and cap,Wiseco high comp piston set,2nd gear shift fork. Total cost of parts=$111.20 ! Still looking for gaskets, oil filter and plastic. This "project" was missing a lot of parts-Ebay makes it easy!

Rockymountain has oil filters for $4. That's a crazy deal on all of that other stuff though for only $110.

Set my suspension race sag, and while putting in a new air filter I found out my rear subframe was cracked from my previous ride! So that'll be my next thing I do to mine.

Received all my parts and they are all sweet, especially my d756. However my rear sprocket doesn't fit, so now I'm having to deal with that. Hopefully that won't take but two or three days though.

I have put 28 hours on my bike since late November.

Checked the valves and they are still in spec, .004 for the intakes and .007 and .008 for the exhaust, which was the same at 22 hours lol.

Also I cleaned and re-oiled the air filter but this time I used belray liquid foam filter oil. That was a headache but I think it turned out better than the spray on stuff, as long as I didn't over apply it.

And finally I was able to give my bike a good cleaning (which I did before I checked the valves.) I've been so busy I haven't had time to clean it very well in a few weeks.

Now I just need to order a clutch lever and cable, fork seals, a front tire, and a back sprocket.
