PhotoShopped or real? Looks nice either way....even with that YZF-sized tank.

That's the same picture that went around before the FI YZ was announced so I wouldn't put much faith in it. Hopefully Yamaha will rethink the fuel tank if they decide to build a WR on the YZ platform.

There's currently a rallye YZ450F running in the Dakar.
It's got about 30L of fuel onboard (underseat tank + 2 left and right tanks up front) plus the usual navigation equipment. Also, they changed the tranny to a WR ratio for the high speed sections. It's pretty much a WR, but just not called one:

If they made a Fuel injected WR based on the YZ platform I'd buy it, especially if it had some proper weight savings!

Well the new FI YZ is heavier than it's carburated predecessor so I wouldn't count on it.

If it's anything like my 04, it will run great, have tremendous power and be reliable. But, it will also be very heavy, tall, and never really feels nimble. That is a great looking bike however. Just see it being WAY to heavy for threading trees and the tight Michigan trail terrain. Too much mass is the problem with all of the 450 off road bikes, and i can't see this being any different.

i would buy one in a heartbeat! I can't stand carburators, and, if i go to upgrade the next bike will be FI and if yamaha doesn't make one I will go elsewhere and find it from another manufacturer....

If you zoom in on the picture, you can see that the decal on the rear fender says, "WR250F" So I think this is definitely a photoshop pic.

Yamaha won't be producing a kick start only WR.......so definitely photoshopped. However, I would guess that 2012 be the year and the bike to look something along those lines with the new frame, tilted engine, and efi. Let's cross our fingers!

Nice chop job. Probably what it will look like in 2014 or whenever the hell they get around to it.

Look closer. That's not a photo chop. Looks like the starter is on the clutch side, front of the motor maybe.
