2006 YZ450 hard clutch pull

I put on a new cable to no avail. The problem appears to be internal. I'm just wondering what to look for and any tips for this bike. Thanks!

If you bought the bike used, I'd suspect aftermarket clutch springs. OEM springs are cheap. Try a set. Worn plates can marginally increase lever effort, too.

I've had the bike since new and it has the original clutch. I've never had it apart so my theory is that there is some wear causing a binding. The clutch pull has gotten progressively harder but it never slips.
