LeoVince exhaust for 450

Recommended Posts

Are they any good ? I can't find much info about them except that they are kind of long and everyone loves DRD. Only reason I am even considering them is you can get a complete system for $324 right now directly from them. I got a bone stock 09 and need to get rid of the power robbing stock muffler.

I just purchased one of off Ebay where they have their online outlet. The only problem is they shipped it to me without a mounting bracket so I can't even try it yet. I will say they are excellent quality, the welds are beautiful. I cant wait to try it.

Nothing but great things from the complete stainless system I just installed. The build quality is phenomenal and it fits excellent. I haven't touched the jetting ( I have a 2008) and the bike runs without a hiccup. To me, the bike is just as smooth as stock but amplified everywhere, similar to how I hear the Dr.D runs. So far the sound is not at all obnoxious, and they say it will pass the new 94db sound test without any inserts ( this is the newer style with the carbon end cap). I'll let you know what the bike tests after this weekend.

I've been trying to get some pictures up but haven't been able to locate my camera.

I would highly recommend this system, and don't think you'll find a better exhaust unless it's free.

The Leo Vince systems are some of the best made exhausts out there. The stainless set up will interchange with all of the stock parts so if you ever wad the head pipe up you can throw the stock on there and keep going. It's quiet and the packing lasts forever (well, almost). They also come with a bolt in spark arrestor if you decide to do woods riding where the SA is required.

He doesn't know why, Leo pipes are extremely popular in Europe. The build quality is about as good as it gets and they do a lot of research when building their pipes. When you see a Leo pipe on a pros bike, you are getting the same thing as long as it the correct model obviously...seems someone is ill informed and just trying to justify the outrageous price he paid on a full system, or wasted on a cheap slip on.

I'd like to see the original poster put that one on his 2009.

There are better exhaust systems than the Leo Vince SS if you are looking for the most horsepower but let's face it, a stock 450 is too much for the average guy anyway. The Leo SS system will make more power over the stock system simply due to the slip on itself. It is also built much better than most of the other brands IMO.

Too tough? Ya' think? :excuseme:

There are better pipes for maximum power output than the DRD, too, but it's also a well made, reasonably priced pipe with good performance. And MRD will make just about whatever you want at a very fair price as well. But at the $325 specified, I don't see a problem with the LV, and the OP will probably be pretty happy with the purchase.

Thanks for all the responses. Only thing I don't like about the Leo is it seems to stick out farther than the DRD. I think I am just going to spend the extra $100 and try and get a new DRD system off ebay. I wish I had a 2010, just got a new 09 for $4400 OTD in OR, it was well over $1000 more for the 2010. I am sure it would be worth it but I just couldn't aford it. The dealer in OR has three more new in the crate if anyone wants a left over 09 for a good price
