I am looking to pick up a 2006-2008 YZ450F and I'm wondering how compatible the parts from my 2007 YZ250F are?
The main things that I am concerned about moving over are:
- complete rear wheel assembly with paddle tire
- IMS desert tank
- ASV levers
- DrD full exhaust

thanks for any info!

The rear wheel on your 250F is a 1.85 and the 450 2.15 but it will still work. Just a little narrow.

IMS tank will work for sure

Clutch lever is the same but depending on the year 450 you get, I think the brake lever changed a few times.

The 250F exhaust won't work on the 450.

Regarding the front brake, the '07 YZ250F used a new, smaller front caliper, and the master cylinder and brake lever were different as well. Use of the incorrect lever will cause the brake to lock as the fluid heats up.

The YZ450 got this same change in '08, so your 250F lever would interchange with an '08 or later 450, but not an '07 or earlier.

Thanks. I imagine the same applies for a 2009 YZ450F. wheel, tank and levers transfer over just fine right?

Rear wheel from the '09 won't fit. Larger axle.
