I doubt that more than 1 or 2 of these famous MMX Maicos exist.

I was at this years VETS MXDN at Farleigh Castle. It is the biggest Twinshock / Evo event in the UK if not in the world. There were also classes for older riders on moderm machines. Plenty of AF Hondas, KX 500s and all sorts of other twostroke machinery.
This would have been the perfect opportunity for a small new manufacturer to enter the event or at least supply the bikes.

I was looking forward to see the MMX bikes there but nothing , niente ! nada !

Hard to say what's going on. I cannot even register on their Web Site. The feature is disabled
I only give a s**t because I am a two stroke fan, and would love to ride an easy to ride big bore two stroke.  Lots of my riding buddings are also two stroke fans, but hate the PDS.

Yes, 2012 we will have the 125 back.  2011 is almost here so if you buy a 2011 bike then you will have one

Yes, they moved to the maico riders club website (well, not "moved" but the forum you were trying to register on is for their press releases).   You should be able to register on the Maico Rides Club forum.

I approached Maico International a while ago with interest in the 700 engine for sidecarcross use. After a lot of claims heard nothing so gave up with the idea of the new maico.
I have now gone JAWA 707 cc fourstroke watercooled twincam 4 speed right hand kick left hand drive.Easy to work on ,strong design, parts readily available.

Zabel sells a 700 motor, based on Maico design, for side car racing as you stated in the topic, any reason you didn't use that? As far as Maico International, they have not yet released their bikes.  They are building their first motors for 2011 and they did not build motors before that, previously they were Koestler's motors.

You can get motors through Koestler just like ATK did and they have them on their webste.  Those motors and manufacturing have nothing to do with Maico International though and MI is building their motors to be released in 2011.

Vids for the 2009 Maico 700?  Possibly in Jan.   I have video of the dyno but I don't have the chart and I don't want to release a video with just a statment would like to have the chart and a comparision chart from the same dyno place.

That's a 83 CR480, you can see there's no kick start on the right and the chain is there

From what I can see, the bike looks okay. Looks like a compression release on the handlebars.

While I relish the thought of a new 2 stroke, the idea of a 125cc doesn't seem to make any sense.  A 144cc or a 150cc bike would be a better choice.  Also, why not make the 320 a 300?  It would be a way of directly saying to the other 300cc bikes out there, "bring it on"!
