Im looking for a set of frame gaurds for my 06 yz450f . All i can find is the carbon fiber gaurds on ebay for around $100.

Is there a cheaper alternative? I dont care if they are carbon fiber or another material, just as long as they are not $100..lol:thumbsup:

I think acerbis, ufo, or one of the main plastics companies makes plastic ones, not sure if they fit the 06 and up bikes tho.

If it's for the subframe, I just split a piece of black rubber hose and ziptied it around there. Works great.

I used truck bed coating (in a spray can) Auto Zone Special, on my frame where the boots rub. Looks pretty good, and has held up for a couple years now. Works Connection seems to be the cheapest for Aluminum Guards I've found.

Found an old thread on this question on this forum. Looks like carbon fiber is the only way to go, since it appears nobody makes Aluminum ones for the newer YZFs.
