o8 yzf 450 whats the best way to yank the carb to instal some mods

Pull the subframe and shock. Takes about 10 minutes.

yup, otherwise its an exercise in cussing and tool throwing for distance.

Going back together, unbolt the air box from the sub and clamp it to the carb before the sub goes on. In fact, you can do this before the shock goes on if you want. Then, with the shock and air box in place, slid the sub frame back on with no hassle.

Wow good ideas, I was having serious problems with getting the boot on my two strokes carb. I'm ripping the whole bike apart anyways, but will remember this for when it goes back together.

Sounds like more work, but then again trying to get the airbox with the subframe back onto the carb and header is one hell of a chore sometimes... Sometimes doing it the smart way is just a few more steps but well worth it!
