hard seat

anybody got any idea's on softening up the
wr426 rock hard seat? i do some dual-sport,
sit-down type riding,and my butt get's
really sore,really quick.

Use bicycle riding shorts, for the extra crotch padding.


97 KDX220, 86 TTR225, 99 WR400f, WR timing, throttle stop trimmed, air box lid removed, White Bros head pipe, silencer and air filter. De-octopussed. Works frame guards and Thumper Rad Guards, Scotts steering damper. Odometer and headlight removed. Moose hand and mud guards. YZ stock tank, IMS seat and number plate. Renthal Jimmy Button "highs" and Renthal Soft half waffle grips. AMA, SETRA, Happy Ramblers MXC.

I too found the seat way too hard, it gave me monkey butt after about 30 miles. I solved this problem by replacing the seat foam with the foam from Factory Effex. tall/soft is part #03-0146, stock/soft is part # 03-0147. Contact them at WWW.factory effex.com or call 1-800-866-0709. I used the stock/soft because I have short legs and I like to touch the ground ocasionally. Now I can ride 80-90 miles at a time before it even starts to make my butt sore.

Oh yeah I forgot to add cost is $54.95 in the 2001 Factory Effex catalog. sorry about the oversight.
