ride height help

Recommended Posts

My 02 YZ426 is a little on the tall side for me. When I sit on it I am on my toes. I am trying to get it set up to do some gncc races next summer and want to be confortable on it. Should I be able to touch the ground flat footed or is this how it should sit and if not what do I need to do to lower it? eg. should I lower just the back end or do I need to lower the forks also?

Set your sag. If you do not have enough sag your bike will be too tall in addition to not performing efficiently.

Sliding the fork tubes up in the triple clamps a few millimeters at a time will significantly change how your bike turns, the stability, the headshake, feel, etc. It is dependent on your final rear sag setting, too.
